On the way home to Vermont, Josh and I stopped at Todd Farm flea market and filled the car with treasures. Some will be hoarded for my Fab.com sale in November, and others will be listed in my vintage shop this week. Here are a few of the pieces I picked up this morning:
My finds from today included a mid century moon globe, solid cherry drawer box, flat weave rug, oil portrait painting with a walnut frame, several busts, alabaster bookends, brass letter opener, two medical models, anglepoise task lamp, deco era brass lamp with red metal shade, two old flags, a mid century plant stand, and an ornate wood display case.
I also picked up a maple side table with chippy stain for $25 that I am going to refinish. I like the simple shape, dovetail drawers, and solid wood construction. If it turns out well I will use it in the house.
We go back to work on the covered porch tomorrow, and I'll be posting updates as we go. Stay tuned!
I love the portrait of the woman! Good job hunting for treasures!
