Covered Porch Painting Done!

As of yesterday we are done with the painting portion of the covered porch project. Yahoo! We have a few more trim pieces to put up (one will cover the uneven paint line you see in the photo below) as well as another door to install, but other than that we've completed all we can until more materials come in. We ordered large 18" x 36" bluestone pavers for the foundation facade and top of the patio, but those won't arrive for another 2-3 weeks.

The dirt and weeds on the ground in front of the porch will be covered with crushed bluestone hard pack gravel this week. The weeds and dust will not be missed.

Inside the porch, all of the boards and trim are up with the exception of the bottom row that will go in after the floor pavers are installed.

Melanie and Peter worked on the house with us over Labor Day, and are our heroes this week. They helped so much!! Thank you Melanie and Peter!

Now we turn our attention to the kitchen garden fencing. After that we are DONE with our wedding related projects. We definitely need a little break after the whirlwind of the past few months. 3 weeks to go...
