Clouds & Light

For a few brief moments each morning, the yard looks like this if the cloud conditions are just right. I run to grab my camera but often the moment has passed by the time I return to the porch. Yesterday I made it just in time. Good morning from Vermont!

  2. Thank you that wonderful ahhhh moment my dear. Enjoy your blog and all your successes. You are both inspirations and I envy your life together. One I would have enjoyed when I was much younger.

  3. Claire, I have to ask, what kind of camera are you using? Hubby and I have been talking about splurging on a new camera, and your shots are stunning. just wondering if there was a particular one you were super happy with...

    1. Lindsey, I have a Nikon D300. It is not super fancy, but more of an entry level into nicer cameras. Professional photographers probably wouldn't be using it, but if you're just getting into photography it's a decent place to start. You can always buy a nicer lens later and use that with the camera if you get really into photography. That's the nice thing about cameras -- you can keep upgrading the lenses without buying a brand new camera itself.

    2. Thanks, Claire! That's exactly what we're looking for...something that's an upgrade from the point-and-shoot, but not something that's over the top professional grade. We had something similar by Cannon a few years back, but it wasn't super user-friendly, and we sold it. Probably should have just done some more research/learning and stuck with it, because we've been missing the quality of photos since parting with it.
